There was very little inventory at the time, so our realtor mentioned we might want to look away from the water, instead suggesting a condo. We acted upon this recommendation, and within one week, we purchased our first vacation home with no plans to rent it to others.
However, it wasn’t long before people were asking us to rent our unit, so we decided to give vacation rentals a try. To our amazement, the property was quickly booked for over six months. Now needing another place for ourselves, we bought two more units in the same area. Sure enough, our additional properties also became rented for an extended time, so we purchased another unit.
At first, we hired local property managers to help manage our growing portfolio of rental condos. Unfortunately, after three different property managers, we couldn’t settle on one that offered the level of attention and care we desired for our tenants. It was then that we decided to take property management into our own hands, and Sunshine Rental Holdings was born!
